Week 76- November 18, 2019

Happy Thanksgiving from Asia!

Hey FamBam! 

We had a great Ward trip to a persimmon farm (last pday) and other beautiful nature places (see attached pics), and a Thanksgiving party that a bunch of friends came to! 

Some miracles:

Vicy passed her baptismal interview and we are so excited her dad will be able to help her be baptized on Saturday! (we are praying that her mom will attend and eventually follow her daughters example!) 

A random lady we met about a transfer ago in a OK mart texted us and set up an appointment to introduce her friend and her daughter to us who are interested in the gospel! You never know who has friends who are prepared! 

We had a friend on baptismal date that all of a sudden stopped replying to all our and a members efforts to contact her, but then we ran into her on the street Thursday and she said her phone got lost! We set up another appointment, met with her, got her back on baptismal date, and she brought a friend to the lesson, too! 

So many miracles! 

God is good.

Week 74-November 4, 2019

Time Flies

Hey Fam!

I am always so amazed at how FAST time flies here in Danshui. Sometimes we are in a member visit and all of a sudden it's already been 40 minutes and I go, WHAT? and at night 10pm to 10:30pm is literally 2 minutes. Maybe 2 minutes and 30 seconds. At night, it feels like we just got up! So crazy...

Happy November! 

This week was pretty sweet: I ran into 2 RCs from my last area when we were taking an RC from Danshui to the temple on Saturday. I love them so much and it was such a sweet, precious reunion.  I also sang with my companion at the RC fireside on Sunday night. We sang I'm trying to be like Jesus and the Spirit was so strong. An elder helped us play cello too. Thank you for the arrangement Mom!  This week we had a fun english group about Halloween ~ it was really hard to translate vampire, mummy, etc. haha and today we had a zone lunch and made pancakes for everybody and then did some trainings on member work and adjusting to missionary life (which was a blast!)

Week 73-October 28, 2019

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! 😆🎅🌲

Hey Fambam!

This week was pretty stressful actually because we had some bike issues and so were late or missed some appointments or forgot about coordination meeting and then we spent a lot of time planning and worrying about our Halloween party, but it actually turned out super great! haha We had a lot of English group friends come and members brought a bunch of food and several of our friends being taught also came and met a bunch of members! 

We also had exchanges with the Shilin sisters which is always a blast and a half! 

We watched a video in relief society Sunday about a mother who was super busy doing things for others the whole day and felt stressed out at the end because there was a lot she didn't finish, but then the video shows how she had impacted the lives of those she helped and how they were very appreciative of all she did. You never know how much good you are doing. Even though sometimes you feel stressed out or like everything is only getting half done or you forget or don't finish some things. We just do our best and God does the rest.
